Our version of Thousand Island Dressing bears absolutely no resemblance to the stuff that comes out of a bottle that you buy at the grocery store. It's not a complicated recipe, but the inclusion of fresh ingredients will really make your salad shine. This is a "sweeter" type of dressing, and is dearly loved by children, and our mother. We think it is especially delicious on a big summer salad that includes fresh vegetables such as broccoli, summer squash or zuchinni.
1 cup Hellman's Mayonaise
1/4 cup Heintz Chili Sauce
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/4 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1 Tbs chopped olives (we like the black ones, but use the green, if you prefer)
1-2 Tbs sweet pickle relish
Mix all ingredients well, and store in a tightly covered jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. But trust us, it won't last that long.
